Your wedding is going to be a day to remember, but why not make it even more special by getting married abroad. There are many advantages to tying the knot in another country, firstly, you can invite who you want to be there without any fear of your wedding being hijacked by distant relatives who you haven’t seen in years and probably won’t see again.

Secondly, the weather. As long as you pick your destination carefully, you should be able to have that wedding of your dreams outside under a white canopy without having to worry about umbrellas and coats.

Thirdly, it can often work out cheaper even if you have to pay for your guests to fly out to you. You can still take a traditional wedding cake out on the flight along with your wedding dress. If you wanted real flowers it would probably be better to ask the hotel to organise it for you.

On the other hand, some couples refuse to be persuaded that a wedding abroad is a good option. They feel that a wedding is a family affair and that as many guests as possible should be able to attend. To address this many couples who do get hitched abroad have a family party when they return thus having the best of both worlds.
