For a women, one of the most important outfits she will even buy is her wedding dress. If you have chosen to get married abroad then you will need to think very carefully about how you are going to transport your dress to the venue.

You need to insure your dress is professionally packed ready for your journey. Some wedding dress shops will be able to do this for you making sure that it is packed in such a way that it won’t crease too much and less chance of it getting damaged.

If at all possible, try and take your dress with you as your carry on luggage rather than it having to be stored in the hold luggage. This way it is always with you and less likely of getting lost.

Some airlines will have a suit closet where special outfits can be stored when on the plane. Ask a stewardess if this is possible, but be sure to label your dress with your contact details and details of where you will be staying along with your home address.

Never pack your dress with other items such as make up or shampoos that could leak and stain, ideally pack the dress on its own.
