Planning a wedding and inviting guests – part two

One thing to remember when booking a wedding abroad is what you want to do about guests. It may be that you only want a few friends or family members there, can they afford to travel and stay there or are you able to offer to pay or a contribution to this. If not you have to be aware that some people may not be able to travel abroad due to costs. Make sure that you give the guests that you want to invite plenty of notice of when you are getting married and the location so they can arrange necessary time off work and flights / passports etc.

It is often nice if the guests stay in the same hotel as the couple or close by so they can meet up before and after the wedding. Very often the married couple then goes on to have their honeymoon either there or in another location.
