Planning your honeymoon in winter months

If you are planning a wedding in the winter months then you will have to decide if you also want to go on honeymoon straight after the wedding or if you are going to delay it a little bit. If you are staying in the UK for your honeymoon then you will probably not be relying upon the weather, but if you are looking to go abroad then you need to deice if you want to go somewhere hot. If you do then you may be restricted to going to the Caribbean or somewhere like Australia in the UK winter months. The flights to Australia can be over 20 hours long so this is not a trip for those that are uneasy on board an aeroplane.

If you can delay your honeymoon until May or June then there are a lot more places that are warm enough for a sun holiday such as the Canary Islands or Greece. These destinations also are a lot cheaper and the flight times are usually only a few hours or so. If you do decide to delay the honeymoon you could even plan a mini city break or a cottage retreat to allow you to spend a few days together as husband and wife.
