Double-checking all your travel arrangements

So you have just booked your family holiday to include your flights, transfer and accommodation, this is the hard part done. But it is important to remember to stay on top of your travel arrangements and be sure to confirm them again at a later date. Many people book holidays months if not a year in advance and during the course of this time there may be changes to the hotel or B and B for example that you are not aware of. There also may be issues that come to light as your travel date approaches that are out of your control such as airline strikes. The only way to rectify these issues is to keep updated as to what is happening and ensure you have enough time to make changes to your arrangements if needed.  Unfortunately people often encounter issues with their travel or accommodation upon arrival and this can lead to quite a disappointing start to any holiday.

If you have booked accommodation (especially if you have done it all online) then it is strongly recommended that you call the owners and confirming you’re booking at least a week prior to your arrival. If you do book anything online and do not receive a confirmation email, then follow it up with a phone call as soon as possible to confirm your booking and ensure that you get notification of the booking from them in writing.
