Making sure your honeymoon goes without a hitch

There is so much planning and preparation around a wedding that sometimes the honeymoon can be a bit of an afterthought. It’s important to remember though that this is the start of married life and a chance to really relax and unwind after what is quite a stressful period in your lives therefore careful planning will really pay off.
You may want to split the responsibilities and if you are mostly planning the wedding ask your partner to plan the honeymoon.
Research where to go based on what you enjoy, look at the climates of different countries at the time you want to travel. You may even consider postponing your honeymoon if it’s not an ideal time to travel.
Compare prices and package holidays verse booking the elements of the holiday separately.
Always mention to them that it’s your honeymoon as you sometime get extras or discounts!
Before the wedding get all your honeymoon stuff packed and ready so that you don’t have any stresses trying to do it after the big day.
Also remember that if you are changing your name book your honeymoon in the name that is currently on your passport and not your new married name.
